UMLS Legal Summit 2026

We spent last Sunday, 24 May, at the annual Universiti Malaya Law Society (UMLS) Legal Summit 2026, part of UMLS's flagship Legal Executive Apprentice Programme which we were honoured to sponsor.

Throughout the day, we engaged with law students from various law schools across Malaysia who arrived well-prepared with thoughtful questions about pupillage, internships, and life in practice.

Our Partners, Suganthi Singam, Jimmy Liew and Serena Azizuddin, conducted the Mock Speed Interviews with law students, while Datin Anita Balakrishnan, Pui Chi Foong, Michelle Lim, Hee Hui Ting and Yap Khai Jian joined the audience in support of the various panel discussions running alongside the Career Fair.

Meanwhile, at our booth, our lawyers — Elisia Engku Kangon, Ching Hao Yan, Tze Jie Teo, Adam Lugun Raj, Muhammad Sirhan Sidqi Abdul Aziz and pupil Anushka Rao — engaged with students, sharing practical insights drawn from their own experiences.

It was a rewarding day for our team, and we left encouraged by the calibre and enthusiasm of the next generation of lawyers. We hope the students found it equally valuable as they continue shaping their paths in the profession.
