Foreign Visiting Lawyer (FVL) Program

Shearn Delamore & Co. is pleased to share that our Principal Associate, Alexis Yong from the Real Estate Practice Group, participated in the Foreign Visiting Lawyer (FVL) Program, hosted by Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in Tokyo from 14 October to 21 November 2025. This year’s cohort comprised six lawyers representing firms from Malaysia, Spain, the Philippines, Thailand, the United Kingdom and Egypt.

This program offered a variety of professional and cultural activities. During the program, Alexis Yong also had the opportunity to share with lawyers from Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu about the land registration system in Malaysia through her presentation titled “Indefeasibility of Title in Malaysia's Torrens System”, focusing on its principles and legal framework.
