2nd DR Evening Talk Series 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. recently hosted the second DR Evening Talk Series of 2026 on Friday, 13 February 2026, titled “Managing Client Expectations: A Practical Guide for Young Lawyers”. The session was hosted by our Partner from Dispute Resolution department, Lilien Wong, and featured an external guest speaker, Mr Michael Tan, Commercial Counsel of TikTok Shop Malaysia. The session was held in a roundtable-like manner where both speakers and attendees alike could partake in discussions in a more informal setting.  

In essence, the session explored how young lawyers can navigate clients’ demands through better understanding clients’ expectations. Lilien highlighted that clients’ expectations may vary depending on the nature and set up of the business operations. On similar sentiment, Mr Michael Tan emphasised on the importance of updating clients in forging trust and ties with clients.
