CLEA Conference 2026

The Commonwealth Legal Education Association (CLEA) Conference brings together members of the legal profession, judiciary, academia, and policymakers from across Commonwealth jurisdictions to discuss developments in legal education and practice. 

This year, the CLEA Conference 2026 was held in Kuala Lumpur from 2 to 3 April 2026 at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur and was officiated by the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. 

Our Partner, Rabindra S. Nathan spoke in one of the plenary sessions on Cross-Border Corporate Insolvency in the Commonwealth, alongside The Honourable Justice Wan Muhammad Amin bin Wan Yahya (Judge of the High Court of Malaya), Mr. Lee Shih (Managing Partner, Lim Chee Wee Partnership), Mrs. V. Munyoro (State Advocate, Attorney-General‘s Office Zimbabwe), and Mr. Guru Krishnakumar (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India). The session was moderated by YBhg. Datuk Thiyagu Ganesan (Deputy Director-General BHEUU). 

The conference encouraged meaningful exchanges from legal professionals across various jurisdictions, reinforcing the importance of shared learning and collaboration within the Commonwealth legal community. It served as a valuable opportunity for reflection and engagement on the future direction of legal education and practice.
