Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) 2025 Conference
Shearn Delamore & Co. was delighted to host an exclusive cocktail reception in conjunction with the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) 2025 Conference, held from 6 - 10 November at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The APAA Conference is one of the key events in the global intellectual property calendar, and this year’s edition welcomed over 1,500 participants from across the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Our Partners, Karen Abraham, Indran Shanmuganathan, Jyeshta Mahendran and Michelle Loi were honoured to serve in the organizing committee of the APAA Conference.
Established in 1969, the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) is a leading non-governmental organisation with over 50 years of history dedicated to promoting and enhancing intellectual property protection across the Asia-Pacific region, now represents more than 2,500 members from 21 Recognised Groups in Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as from Bhutan, Brunei, Laos and Mongolia, making it a cornerstone for collaboration among IP professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders.
Our guests gathered at Sol Level 40 @ The Met, where they enjoyed panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline and an atmosphere designed for meaningful conversations and renewed connections. Nearly 300 distinguished delegates from the international IP community joined us for this unforgettable occasion.
The last time Malaysia hosted the APAA Conference was in Penang in 2014 for the 63rd Council Meeting, which also attracted a record of more than 1,500 participants from across Asia and beyond. A decade later, we were extremely proud to once again extend our sincerest welcome to delegates from around the world in our beautiful city Kuala Lumpur.
