ASEAN Intellectual Property Judges and Practitioners Meeting 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. is pleased to share that our partner, Indran Shanmuganathan from the IP Department, was in attendance in Bangkok last week to participate as a panelist at the invitation of Justice Pongdej Wanichkittikul, the presiding Justice of the Supreme Court of Thailand and the Chairperson of the Council of ASEAN Chief Justices (CACJ) Working Group for Thailand at the ASEAN Intellectual Property Judges and Practitioners Meeting held in conjunction with the 13th Council of ASEAN Chief Justices (CACJ) and ASEAN Law Conference. 

The session was largely centered to explore and discuss the finer points of cross border enforcement of intellectual property rights. The panel was moderated by Justice Jarimjit Pantawee (Secretary and presiding Judge of the central IP & International Trade Centre) together with fellow panelists: Suebsiri Taweepon from Tilleke & Gibbins, Thailand and Nicholas Lauw from RPC Premier, Singapore

Indran Shanmuganathan’s practice focusses on IP litigation and has been the lead counsel for several novel and precedent setting cases in the Malaysian IP landscape throughout his career over the last 3 decades. Many thanks to the organisers of this event for inviting Indran to this esteemed event which served as a well deserved recognition of Shearn Delamore & Co.’s expertise and reach in the ASEAN region.
