Annual Dance and Dinner 2026
Once a year, we set aside the demands of our day-to-day work to come together, celebrate and reconnect with one another. It is a time to recognise our shared achievements, celebrate the people behind them and look forward to the journey ahead.
Over the weekend of 8 and 9 August 2026, we gathered at the Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands, for a memorable weekend. The festivities began on Saturday afternoon with the highly anticipated Grand Finals of our Pickleball Tournament 2026. After weeks of friendly competition, the finalists’ teams took to the court for an exciting showdown, with our Partners, lawyers, pupils and staff cheering one another on. The Pickleball Grand Finals set the stage for the evening, bringing everyone together in high spirits as we continued the celebration.
Later that evening, we stepped back in time for our Annual Dinner & Dance, themed ‘1905, When It All Began’ – a fitting tribute to the Firm which was founded in 1905. Embracing the 1905 Malaya – Street & Society dress code, we brought the era back to life with impressive displays of style and interpretations of the past.
Our Managing Partner, Rodney Gomez in his opening speech reflected on the Firm’s first outstation annual dinner trip which incidentally was held in Genting many years back. Since then, the Firm has gone on to hold many more memorable outstation annual dinner trips. He also reflected on the Firm’s achievements this year and thanked the staff who have been instrumental in the Firm’s success.
The evening continued with lively performances alongside the presentation of Long Service Awards, recognising the dedication and commitment of colleagues who have contributed to the Firm’s growth and success over the years.
The weekend concluded on Sunday morning with nature hikes and tree-planting activities, bringing together themes of well-being and sustainability as we looked beyond our shared history towards the future.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made ADD 2026 a memorable celebration, and to our organising team for bringing it all together. Here’s to honouring where we came from, celebrating where we are today as we continue to build our shared legacy for the years ahead.
