8th DR Evening Talk Series 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. recently hosted its 8th DR Evening Talk Series of 2026 on Friday, 21st August 2026, featuring a session titled “Construction Law: What’s Niche About It?” conducted by our Dispute Resolution Partner, Alexius Lee. 

In this session, Alexius Lee provided attendees with an overview of the distinctive nature of construction law practice and the wide range of legal, technical and commercial considerations involved in construction and infrastructure projects. He shared insights into the various facets of a construction lawyer’s work, spanning dispute resolution, non-contentious advisory work and industry-specific legal issues. 

Drawing on practical examples from major projects and disputes, Alexius Lee highlighted the multidisciplinary nature of construction law, the diverse stakeholders involved, and the specialised skillsets required to navigate this dynamic area of practice. The session also emphasised the continued relevance of construction law, given its close connection to some of the largest and most complex projects across multiple sectors.
