6th DR Evening Talk Series 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. recently hosted its 6th DR Evening Talk Series of 2026 on 12 June 2026, featuring an engaging and interactive session titled “May it Please the Court… or Not? Wing It or Win It, A Mock Hearing Experience”. The session was conducted by our Dispute Resolution Partner, Serena Isabelle Azizuddin.

During the session, participants were divided into groups of four and given a set of facts. Within a limited timeframe, each group was required to prepare and deliver oral submissions either in support of, or in opposition to, a summary judgment application. The oral submissions were presented before a panel of three, comprising Serena, together with Principal Associate Christal Wong Ai Mei and Senior Associate Wong Jia Jing. This format provided a hands-on learning environment, enhancing participants’ oral advocacy, structuring of submissions and strategic thinking in interlocutory applications. Following each group’s oral submissions, constructive feedback was provided by the panel. This enabled participants to gain valuable insights and further refine their advocacy skills.
