56th MCPA Annual General Annual Meeting 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. is pleased to share that our Partner, Jyeshta Mahendran from the Intellectual Property Department, was invited by the Malaysian CropLife and Public Health Association (MCPA) to speak at its 56th Annual General Meeting on 23 April 2026. The event was graced by the presence of the Director General of the Department of Agriculture, YBhg. Dato’ Norsam Alwi, who attended as the Guest of Honour.

The firm was also represented at the event by Senior Associate Elisia Engku Kangon and Associate Naagathurga Vijayakumar.

During the session, Jyeshta Mahendran delivered a presentation on the importance of intellectual property rights, specifically focusing on patents and plant varieties. Her session highlighted how the legal frameworks foster innovation and safeguard advancements within the agricultural sector.
