3rd DR Evening Talk Series 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. recently hosted its 3rd Dispute Resolution (DR) Evening Talk Series of 2026 on 27.3.2026, featuring a session titled “Trial Preparation”. The session was conducted by our DR Partner Lai Wai Fong, who shared practical and experience driven insights on effective trial preparation and disciplined case management. Emphasis was placed on the importance of approaching trial work strategically from an early stage, including during pleadings, and on developing a structured understanding of the case from the outset.

Lai Wai Fong also highlighted the need for careful and critical analysis of documents provided by clients, underscoring the value of identifying gaps early and seeking timely clarification. Such habits, she noted, are essential for building a coherent case theory and avoiding difficulties later in the proceedings. The session offered valuable guidance for pupils and young lawyers aspiring to develop strong trial advocacy skills.
