1st DR Evening Talk Series 2026

Shearn Delamore & Co. recently hosted the first DR Evening Talk Series of 2026 on Friday, 23 January 2026. The session, titled “Integrity Matters: Ethics, Professional Decorum, and Managing Legal Practice as a Young Lawyer”, featured our DR Partner Jimmy Liew as the speaker.

The session aimed at raising awareness among pupils and young lawyers on the importance of ethics and professional decorum in the legal profession. Jimmy began by emphasising that the legal profession is a calling, and that the core duty of lawyers is to serve the court. He explained that the purpose of ethics and professional decorum is to build and maintain trust both between lawyers and their clients, as well as between lawyers and the court. He also shared practical advice with pupils and young associates on common challenges faced in practice and how best to navigate them.
