FRIM’s Eco Roots Initiative Programme 2026

On 18 July 2026, Shearn Delamore & Co.’s WSF Club held its annual Tree Planting Day in collaboration with the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), which was officially designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2025.

Around 20 of our team members braved a light drizzle early in the morning to gather at FRIM and support their forest conservation efforts. Participating in FRIM’s Eco Roots Initiative Programme, the team spent time in the nursery gaining hands on experience in soil preparation and forest propagation. The session was followed by a guided walk along FRIM’s nature trails, where everyone had the opportunity to explore the world’s largest man-made tropical rainforest.

We are grateful to have played a small part in supporting FRIM’s vital conservation work and we look forward to continuing our efforts to protect our natural environment.
