Seven representatives from Shearn Delamore & Co. attended the Asia Regional Conference 2018 of the WLG in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan on 2 and 3 March 2018. Forty-three delegates from the 13 member firms in Asia attended the conference. Our Corporate/M&A partner, Mr Ng Swee Kee (immediate past president of the WLG, representing the WLG Board), delivered speeches at the opening and closing plenaries.
During the conference, delegates discussed current developments of alternative dispute resolution in Asia, the Asian markets, current developments of data privacy in Asia, and foreign investment in Hokkaido and Japan in the hospitality industry. Delegates were also treated to a short tour of Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium.
