We are proud to have, over the years, attracted a large number of outstanding individuals to our organisation and to have in turn provided them with challenging and dynamic work culture, a supportive environment, career growth and personal satisfaction.

We have a large number of staff who have remained with us for over 20 years and some who have celebrated even 40 or 50 years with us. We are privileged to have the following staff rank amongst our Shearn stalwarts.

The following is our roll of honour for those who have through their contributions – either through length of service and/or their personal qualities – cemented their rank as Shearn stalwarts.

“Shearn Delamore & Co. was then a much smaller firm but now, it has grown to be one of the giants in the field. The firm makes sure that the staff also grow with them.

I have been with the firm for more than 50 years now. My ingredients to staying this long with the firm I would say, you must be happy with what you are doing. You have to get along well with the people you are working with. There will be ups and downs along the road but it is good to understand each other. You have to learn how to “give-and-take”. Above all, you have to be honest that in whatever you do, it should bring honour to yourself and to the firm.”

“At the time I joined Shearn in 1963, Peat Marwick had just taken over the accounts so I helped to put a system in place for the firm to prepare its own management accounts. From 1963 till now, all the staff in the accounts department have been well-trained, are friendly, and get along with each other.”

Long Service Awards

Shearn Delamore & Co. strongly believes in justly rewarding staff that have remained loyal to the firm. Shearn gratefully recognises their support and values their past and present contributions with long service awards and other benefits.

Annual Dinner and Dance

Shearn Delamore & Co.’s annual dinners are always an exciting and unpredictable affair, with the entire firm gathering to celebrate the year past and look forward to the next. We venture out of town whenever possible and make our way to destinations such as Penang, Malacca and Genting Highlands and so on.

Songs, performances and colourful dance numbers are put on by the staff and lawyers, with everybody collaborating to entertain the crowds and celebrate the year.

Year-End Party

It is a Shearn custom to bid adieu to the year with a party to end the year on a high note and to look forward to the challenges of the new year.
